SXSW 2016: Artist Applications Now Open
It's hard to believe - but it's already time to start thinking about the next edition of SXSW. Taking place from March 15-20, 2016 in Austin, Texas, SXSW is the largest, most influential and important festival/conference in North America.
In 2015, the music component of SXSW featured 2,371 showcasing artists at 111 venues/stages, and included 214 panels and workshop sessions.For more info on SXSW, please visit: http://www.sxsw.com/music/about#2015
SXSW has just opened up its Artist Application process through Sonicbids, with their early bird application fee of $33 ending on September 11. The final deadline for showcasing applications for SXSW 2016 is October 23, 2015.
CIMA is pleased to announce that we'll be heading back to Austin for SXSW in 2016, and we'll be hosting another Canada House, as well as our legendary Canadian Blast BBQ and showcases!
While we're not ready to reveal the full details of our mission yet, if you're interested in showcasing at Canada House, your artist will have to have submitted an application to showcase directly to SXSW, and have been approved by the Festival.
