Canada House at UK Americana Music Week 2022
This coming January, CIMA returns to Hackney, UK for our fourth Business and Showcase Mission to UK Americana Music Week. We’re excited to finally reveal the fantastic Canadian artists/bands who will be showcasing over 2-days at Canada House during the 2022 edition!
On January 25 & 26, CIMA in partnership with Music PEI will present 12 artists/bands from across the country at the Moth Club in Hackney. Presenting partners for this edition of Canada House include SaskMusic, Music Nova Scotia, Acronym Records and Six Shooter Records.
During the conference, a business initiative will be set up to connect participating Canadian business representatives with UK industry, media and buyers. Any Canadian companies in attendance during UK Americana Music Week who wish to participate should contact jenia@cimamusic.ca for more information.

Held from January 24-28, 2022 AmericanaFest UK is a conference, awards show and music festival with live Americana music from the US, Austria, Spain, Denmark, the UK and more. The day conference consists of over 200 international promoters, artists and festival owners.
As a growing genre, and one very popular in Canada, Americana (a combination of roots, blues, folk and alt country music) is an important market to expand on in the UK for the Canadian Music industry. AmericanaFest UK is keen to build the Canadian presence in the UK with a showcase and business initiative. This presents a lucrative opportunity for the vast number of Canadian music companies who represent this genre of music in Canada.
