Music Export Canada Presents: Canadian Blast at Reeperbahn 2017
CIMA returns to Hamburg and Berlin, Germany this September for the 2017 edition of the Reeperbahn Festival! We're excited to finally reveal the companies and artists who will be joining us on this mission as Canada is featured as the focus country this year. This year CIMA will use the opportunity presented by Canada’s 150th Anniversary to shine a light on Canadian talent and attract a wider audience to Canadian events.
Events will kick off in Berlin where companies will get the opportunity to participate in a pre-Reeperbahn business initiative that CIMA is working on with Berlin's Reeperbahn office and the Canadian embassy. The initiative includes a full day of business events at the Canadian embassy (round table sessions with German industry, networking luncheon, one on one sessions with German industry), a Tuesday evening Berlin industry networking reception followed by a showcase at Fluxbau. On Wednesday morning the Canadian delegation will participate in office tours (between 4-6 visits) and will then take the Berlin networking train, sponsored by Reeperbahn, to Hamburg which will feature two acoustic showcases from Canadian artists.
In Hamburg, Canadian companies will get the opportunity to participate in the Canada House opening reception on Thursday at Kukuun, the Canada host country reception, a Meet the Canadians speed dating session with German industry and the Saturday closing reception at Canada House.
Canadian Blast showcases will take place on Thursday September 21, Friday September 22 and Saturday September 23 at Kukuun (Spielbudenplatz 21-22 20359, Hamburg).
