Staff are one of the most important resources that drive small independent music organizations – and yet, it is challenging to find the time, expertise and budget to properly manage and optimize this resource. How can busy, successful music industry leaders embed human resources (HR) strategies into already busy portfolios?
In partnership with WorkInCulture, and presented by arts management leader Jeanne LeSage with special guest Sandy Lee, this session will take you through both the need to know (compliance, legal factors) and the nice to know (extended topics such as recruiting and performance management) of managing your people – all geared for leaders and organizations like yours.
A survey of CIMA members identified human resources as one of the biggest challenges faced by leaders of independent music companies in Canada. This session aims to provide executive-level information to address that perceived gap in our industry infrastructure.
