CIMA Returns to Los Angeles for Canada at the GRAMMYS® 2017
On Thursday, February 9 2017, CIMA will present our Annual Pre-Grammy Showcase, “Canada at The GRAMMYS® ”
In partnership with SOCAN, FACTOR, The Government of Canada and the Canadian Consulate General in Los Angeles, this event will be held at Los Angele's most famous secret venue No Name (432 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, 90036), and is designed to celebrate the 59th edition of the GRAMMY Awards® as well as highlight our great Canadian musical talent to key industry and media representatives in Los Angeles. This event is accessible on an exclusive, invitation-only basis.
CIMA is pleased to unveil our two showcasing artists for this event: Donovan Woods (Paquin Artists Management) and Caveboy (The Rempire). The event will be headlined by Montreal based Polaris prize winning artist Kaytranada and DJ'ed by GRAMMY® nominee BOI-1DA.

Thoughout 2016, Caveboy turned heads on a supporting tour with Dear Rouge and Rah Rah, and electrified audiences with showcases at Pop Montreal, CMJ, SXSW and CMW. Caveboy continued to make waves into the Summer festivals with performances at Glowfair, Sound of Music, Hillside, Pride Toronto and Osheaga, Rifflandia and at CIMA's Canadian Music Cafe. With a powerful live set not to be missed, Caveboy are the band you'll be talking about the next day.
Donovan Woods was raised in the small city of Sarnia, Ontario, to the sounds of country music, with a healthy dose of folk and pop, a combination that instilled in him a strong belief in the power of a good melody, the importance of everyday language and the potential of a carefully-crafted song. While amassing a catalogue of rousing and acclaimed music of his own, he has worked with some of the top songwriters in North America to craft cuts for performers ranging from Tim McGraw and Alan Doyle to Billy Currington.
