Ontario Members: Apply Now for the "Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) Beginning March 24
The Department of Canadian Heritage invites you to apply for the upcoming creative industry-focused Trade Accelerator Program (TAP) offered virtually by the Toronto Board of Trade beginning on March 24, 2022.
The TAP is an innovative program designed to help small to medium-sized businesses better prepare for international ventures. These sessions are a good learning opportunity to allow businesses to make their initial leap into international markets with a program focused on the creative industries. During these virtual sessions, participating businesses will establish key contacts and access the targeted expertise and strategic planning tools needed to successfully launch into new markets and grow in existing international markets. By the end of the program, they will be walking away with a complete Strategic Export Business Plan carefully vetted by industry leading partners and sponsors.
The program includes expertise from Canadian Heritage, Export Development Canada, the Business Development Bank of Canada, Global Affairs Canada and many more partners covering all angles of the export journey, from financial tools, tax, intellectual property, logistics to international marketing and sales.
In order to be eligible to participate in the program, your company must:
- be in business for at least two years; and
- dedicate two high-ranking representatives for participation in the program.
As this cohort of the TAP will be offered virtually over five weekly half-day sessions, businesses across Ontario are invited to apply. The participation of not-for-profit organizations, as well as businesses and organizations owned/led by Indigenous peoples and members of equity-deserving communities will be free of charge.
For more information, please consult the TAP’s website.
Please note that the TAP is independent of the Department of Canadian Heritage. Participants will be selected directly by the TAP program administrators. All decisions will be made and communicated by the TAP administrators.
