COVID-19: Implications for Employers Date: Wednesday, April 8th, 2020 Time: 12 noon (EST)  Registration: CIMA Members

Session Description: The COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly developing, with media coverage focusing on its public health, economic and societal implications. Employers have been thrust into reactive mode as they deal with the pandemic’s impact on the workplace, and many are perplexed about what they legally can and should do to respond, particularly given the Ontario government’s order that all non-essential workplaces close and evolving requirements and changes in the law.

Join Laura Williams on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020 at 12 noon (EST) as she conducts a webinar designed to help music industry employers understand their obligations, requirements, risks and strategic options in light of the significant legal and operational implications caused by COVID-19.  Attendees will explore the most recent developments, including those related to:

  • Employee leave entitlements
  • EI and government assistance programs and measures
  • LayoffsKey human rights and harassment obligations
  • Implications arising from work from home arrangements
  • Rules related to workplaces deemed non-essential
  • Key content to include in employee communications

To facilitate Laura’s ability to address as many of your questions as possible, please send your questions in advance to info@williamshrlaw.com.  Laura will also address questions that arise from the content in the live Q&A session during the webinar.
